1. Accept the Plex invite

Once your request is approved, Plex emails an invite to the address on your Plex account. Open it and click Accept. That’s the only time you need to do this.

Can’t find it? Check spam, and make sure you’re looking at the inbox for the email on your Plex account. If you still can’t find it, let me know and I’ll resend it.

2. Start watching

Sign in to Plex with the same account everywhere. The shared libraries show up alongside your own.

  • Browser: go to app.plex.tv.
  • TV or streaming box (Apple TV, Android/Google TV, Fire TV, Roku, most smart TVs, game consoles): install the Plex app from the device’s app store. It shows a code; enter it at plex.tv/link on your phone or computer.
  • Phone or tablet: install Plex from the App Store or Google Play and sign in.

You don’t need to pay for Plex Pass or a Remote Watch Pass to watch from this server; that’s covered on my end. Plex shows ads and its own free movies too: to see only this server, pick it from the sidebar or the server menu.

3. Request something new

Go to seerr.safewalrus.box.ca and sign in with your Plex account. Search for a movie or show, then click Request (for shows, pick which seasons).

Once it’s found and downloaded, it appears in Plex on its own, often within a few hours. Some older or rarer things take longer, or can’t be found at all.

Questions

It's buffering or the quality is poor.

In the player’s settings, set quality to Original if your connection is fast, or lower it if it keeps buffering. Several people watching at once can also slow things down.

Subtitles are missing or out of sync.

Use the subtitle menu in the player; Plex can often search for and download a better match.
